You can resubscribe by downloading and signing into The Fitness Chef app on the Apple/google Play app stores and following the prompts to resubscribe.

This is not your standard diet plan or fitness programme that insists you need to turn your life upside down. Making progress towards, and sustaining your health & fitness goals is much simpler!

While the app has many tools and may appear overwhelming at first, once you get the hang of it you’ll be able to use it to help you achieve your health & fitness goals.

Here’s how the app can help you:

As long as the information you entered when you signed up is correct, all you need to do is focus on the following 3 steps:

  1. Hit your calorie & protein targets each week by logging/scanning food into your PLANNER. You can track these targets daily or weekly – insights on progress can be found on DASHBOARD. Search FOOD to filter recipes you love, create your own meals or simply add items from the database.
  2. Maintain the activity level you stated on sign up (e.g. lightly active) by syncing your steps in DASHBOARD. Insights on steps per day/week can also be found on DASHBOARD. You can also log a variety of workouts/activities in ACTIVITY.
  3. Be patient and flexible. We recommend you switch to weekly tracking so you can enjoy social occasions. For fat loss, if you go over your calorie target certain days of the week you can simply adjust the other days to stay on track across the whole week – insights can be found on DASHBOARD.

That’s it! This app allows you to focus on the targets you need to achieve your goal, but it also allows you to eat food you enjoy at times convenient to you!

You can enter body measurements, upload progress photos and see your nutrition & activity trends over weeks, months and years in PROGRESS. This is a great place keep track of your progress towards your goals.

Top tip: As you progress your body will change and you will need to recalculate your targets. We recommend doing this every 6-8 weeks or until you reach your goal. You can adjust/change your goals & preferences in SETTINGS at any time

If you have a specific query about the app that isn’t covered here please email support@fitnesschef.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

Make sure you have selected the correct food database – you can choose between the UK or USA database in SETTINGS

If you are accessing the UK or USA database and can’t find an item please email support@fitnesschef.uk with product details including screenshots of the name, nutrition label and barcode. Once we have these we will add it to the database within 7-10 days for you!

If you live in the UK or USA you can access over 1.5 million branded foods.

The food database also contains over 10,000 generic items such as, fruit, vegetables, potatoes, meat, poultry, fish, nuts, yogurt, chocolate and many more. These can be used worldwide along with any UK or USA brands that are available in your country.

If you search or scan an item and it doesn’t appear in the database please email support@fitnesschef.uk with the item name and photo of the nutrition label and we will get it added asap. We currently have 83% of UK items & 81% of USA items on our database and this number continues to grow.

Our barcode hit rate is currently 92%, but sometimes brands update their nutrition data and there may be a delay before the database catches up with a small number of items.

In the rare event the barcode scanner shows inaccurate information, please email support@fitnesschef.uk with screenshots and the correct information from the packet. From here we can get this updated for you.

If your scanned item shows an incorrect product on the app, please email support@fitnesschef.uk and it will be rectified for you as soon as possible.

At the beginning, calorie and protein adherence should be the main focus for any goal to lose or maintain weight or gain muscle. The majority of research shows that as long as you are consistently hitting your calorie and protein thresholds this is most important. The amount of carbs and fats you choose to make up the rest of your calories doesn’t matter. If you wish to track carbs and fats you can do via SETTINGS > GOALS & PREFERENCES

Tap MORE > SETTINGS > GOALS & PREFERENCES and then complete the calculator for calculated goals, or switch to custom goals and fill in your custom targets before tapping SAVE.

From the dashboard, scroll down to CONNECT YOUR APPS & DEVICES. Then toggle on Apple health, Apple watch, Google fit, Garmin or Fitbit. Your daily/weekly steps will then be visible on the dashboard. Simply swipe across your goals to show them
